A customer called from Salt Lake City and explained they had a front walkway that had settled about 5” and was causing huge trip hazard. Apparently, some had recently fallen due to the trip hazard and needed medical attention. They asked how we could help.

Sinking around the front steps or walkway is an extremely common problem in Salt Lake City. Luckily, it’s a problem we can usually help resolve!

We used our jack system to lift the front walkway back up to the correct elevation, and then we pumped the structural PolyFoam under it to fill the void and provide support to keep it in place. Since the PolyFoam is impervious to moisture, expected to last 70-100+ years, and it can support up to 7,200 lbs per square foot, it is the perfect solution to solve this problem.

We completed the work about 1 week later. The whole repair only took a few hours to perform and by the time we cleaned up, the walkway was fully functional again.
